MERCEDES 280SL (W113)
History
The 280SL concluded the W113 series and late 1967 up to March 1971. Most of the 280SLs that sold in US were automatics while only a few four speed manuals making their way to the US. A 5 speed manual transmission was offered as an option and those cars command higher prices.
Handling Experience
The 280SL retained the same W113 chassis as its predecessors. The engine was upgraded to 2788cc giving 170 horsepower and 193 lb ft torque. Four wheel disc brakes become standard.
