Merit Cars Presents: An attractive and nicely presentable 1981 Corvette C3 that is ready to be driven and enjoyed. This Corvette is finished in a striking Gun Metal Gray with a Caramel leather interior and features the desirable glass T-Tops. The car is matching numbers, has an automatic transmission, and the odometer shows 80,370 miles. The exterior presents well overall. The Gun Metal Gray paint has a nice shine, and all of the glass is in good condition. The paint does show some chips and bubbling, particularly on the engine hood and around the rear glass. The car's original color was black, so the current Gun Metal Gray finish is not the factory color. Inside, the Caramel leather interior is clean and welcoming. The seats appear to be original and are in good condition, while the carpets are clean. The glass T-Tops add to the appeal and provide the open-air feeling of a convertible while retaining the distinctive C3 roof design. Mechanically, the Corvette is in very good working order. The engine starts easily and runs strong, the automatic transmission shifts smoothly, and the brakes work well. Recent work includes: • New alternator • Hooker headers • New tires • New shocks • New rear wheel bearings • Period-correct radio and speakers The underside is clean and solid, and the pop-up headlights operate properly. The car comes with floor mats and T-Top covers. Overall, this is an attractive matching-numbers C3 with desirable glass T-Tops, good mechanicals and recent maintenance. It is not a concours car, but rather a Corvette that can be driven and enjoyed while offering a very attractive entry into C3 ownership. Price: $10,950
