Merit Cars presents: 1977 Chevrolet Corvette C3 that can be driven and enjoyed as it is. Finished in Metal Flake Blue with a brown interior, this is a straightforward driver-quality Corvette offered at an attractive price. The car has a small-block Chevrolet L48 engine paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. The recent paint presents well, and all of the glass is in good condition. The interior is usable, with recovered seats and carpets that could benefit from a good cleaning. Mechanically, the car is in working condition. Recent work includes new brakes, new master cylinder, new valve covers and a new air cleaner. The engine starts easily, runs strong and has good power. The automatic transmission shifts easily. The mufflers have been removed, giving the car a noticeably sportier exhaust sound. The pop-up headlights operate as designed. The car is missing the spare wheel and spare tire cover. Overall, this is an affordable entry into the C3 Corvette world — a car that can be driven as it is, enjoyed on the road and improved over time. At this price point, it is an interesting opportunity for someone looking for an uncomplicated classic Corvette to enjoy without stepping into the higher prices commanded by more highly restored examples.
