Merit Cars presents this attractive 1974 MGB in Bronze Yellow with a Brown interior, a particularly appealing color combination on the classic chrome-bumper MGB. The car is equipped with the desirable overdrive transmission and chrome bumpers, making it both an attractive collector car and an enjoyable British sports car to drive. The MGB was restored in California in 2006, and the restoration and subsequent upkeep are nicely documented in a thick folder of receipts and records. The car presents very well all around. The paint has good luster and is in very good condition, while all the chrome is shiny. The interior is also very nice, with good seats and carpets. Mechanically, the car is in very good working condition. The engine starts easily and runs with exceptional power. The transmission shifts easily and the brakes work well. Recent work includes new brakes, new tires, a new tie rod, a new fuel pump and a full tune-up. The underside appears to be very solid. The black convertible top is usable. As with any older restored car, there are a few areas to be aware of. There is some surface rust in the trunk, along with some paint bubbling on the rocker panels. We have included detailed photographs of these areas so that the car can be evaluated accurately. The MGB comes with a spare wheel, jack, many extra parts, numerous books and a binder full of receipts and documentation.
