Description

1973 Volvo 1800ES wagon that can either be made into a very nice driver or used as a basis for a restoration. The car is in red with a black interior and it has the desirable manual transmission with overdrive. It has been decently preserved for its age. It presents well from 20 feet. Paint is showing age with chipping on the engine hood and bubbling at a few places. Interior is usable – seats are intact and carpets are clean. Mechanics are currently working and will need attention. Recent work includes new gas tank, reworked brakes, new fuel lines and new tires. However, engine cold start is slow, brakes are weak and the reverse gear pops out intermittently. Trunk floors and underside are decent. Floors have been patched. Now they appear to be mostly solid with a few spots of rust. Main frame rails appear to be solid. There is rust on the lower end of the rear quarter panels on both the sides. Car comes with a spare wheel, jack, new headliner, and some extra parts. Price $8,950.
