Merit Cars presents this 1973 Volvo P1800ES wagon, an iconic classic that is becoming harder to find every year. This particular example is an unfinished restoration that offers an excellent opportunity for someone to complete a stylish and usable vintage driver. The car is currently finished in gold metallic with a brown interior. The paint appears to have been done recently and presents well overall. The interior is largely complete and partially restored. All the seats have already been redone, the headliner has been replaced, and the door panels are included but will need to be reinstalled. Mechanically the car is in working order. The engine starts easily and runs smoothly, and the transmission, clutch, and brakes are functioning properly. Some electrical work will still need to be completed as part of finishing the restoration. The underside presents well and the floors and frame appear solid. There is only a small rust patch on the edge of the driver’s side rear wheel well. Some of the external chrome beading is currently missing. According to the data plate the car was originally Sea Green (115) with Hide Brown (458) interior.
